Don’t forget to offer the Prayer of Abandonment today!
Do you know what today is? It’s the feast day of St. Joseph, the husband of the Blessed Virgin Mary and adoptive father of Jesus. What a man!
There are lots of things you can do as a family to celebrate today. Parishes with large Italian populations often have a celebration called “St. Joseph’s table,” a potluck with tables laden with all kinds of delicious foods to enjoy. (If you’re not Italian, don’t worry — all are welcome!) If your parish doesn’t offer this, why not try your hand at making minestrone for supper tonight (maybe topped off with a couple of St. Joseph’s cream puffs? The recipes for both may be found here.
How have you been doing so far with these Sunday “challenges”? What will you do with your third Family Fun Day today?
